About Me and My Work

I started my working life as a physiotherapist. For as long as I can remember I have been attracted to glass, the beautiful vibrant colours created by light through stained glass, ever changing with the time of day.
Some years ago I took a career break to explore and develop my creativity, completing a course in glass techniques and technology at the International Glass Centre in Dudley. I have now recently retired from my career as a physiotherapist in the NHS and excited to be able to focus on my glass art from my workshop in Handbridge, Chester. I exhibit at various art and craft events and an active member of the Contemporary Glass Society and it's local northern group.
I make a range of glass art pieces, combining the processes of fusing glass in the kiln with the traditional techniques of engraving and stained glass. I create decorative wall panels, platters, jewellery and stained glass panels and windows.
My work is abstract and inspired by the magical effects of light and glass. Using the processes of fusing and sandblasting, fluidity and depths are explored through layers of colour and surface decoration.

As each piece is handmade, I can commission work to create a one-off piece for your home or as a unique and special gift.
