I always thought that fusing organic material within glass wouldn't survive the very high temperatures required in the kiln. My current work experiments with fusing dried seed heads, leaves etc between layers of glass. Air is trapped during firing to create pockets in which the organic material is preserved. Each firing can produce quite different results which capture nature's journey through time. I am happy to commission pieces to preserve leaves or flowers from your own garden, wedding bouquet etc for a personal and everlasting memory.
